GREEN CIRCLE

Doing our part♻️

This month, I finally dropped off my Green Circle Salon boxes! Since opening Wildflower Estetica, I’ve been committed to separating all my waste in the suite—single-use items, plastics, paper—you name it. It’s been a bit of a challenge with my cozy space, but I’ve managed to keep things sorted for the most part. I still do my due diligence (yes, with gloves on! 🧤) to double-check the garbage to make sure nothing recyclable gets missed.

When I dropped off the boxes, they weighed in at 75 pounds! 🎉 I was honestly a bit surprised, as I thought it would be more since I've been sorting garbage since I opened back in May. It goes to show that these small efforts add up!

Moving forward, I’ve decided to keep my work and home recycling separate, and here’s why: at home, we use a fantastic service called Ridwell that helps us recycle items our local plant won’t accept—things like film, plastic clamshells, and chip bags. As a growing family, it’s tough to avoid accumulating these items, so we decided to invest in Ridwell to make sure they’re handled properly. I’ve been sorting all the bubble wrap, shipping materials, and other plastics with Ridwell, but to keep my sustainability efforts as accurate as possible, I’ll be tracking work waste separately from now on.

If you’re interested in making your home more sustainable too, check out Ridwell! Here’s a link to learn more and see how they can help you recycle properly. 🌱
